Scents
Original - Featuring Clary Sage and Lavender essential oils, our Original Scent is both invigorating and calming. Lavender oil is used on burns, sun-damaged skin, wounds, and rashes, and helps to relieve the pain of injuries by numbing nerve endings. Lavender scent has also been shown to be effective in relaxing brain waves and reducing stress, acting as a sedative and antidepressant. Clary Sage essential oil eases muscle and nervous tension, pain, and even indigestion! The scent rejuvenates adrenal glands, helping to control anxiety in our bodies. It is also considered to be a mild aphrodisiac, characterized by euphoria. We like!
Rose - Our newest scent, this formulation is an oil based version of Pirouette's true perfume scent that we loved so much, we just had to use it in Keeper of the Ink! Featuring Moroccan red rose, sandalwood, amber and cedar, this blend opens and uplifts the heart. Rose is well known for its sweet, floral scent that acts as an aphrodisiac, antidepressant, and has anti-inflammatory properties that make it a great addition to any skin care product. Sandalwood is a major component in Ayurvedic medicine, and is used to subdue anxiety and reduce nerve pain. Its antifungal and bacteria fighting properties are great for inflamed, dry, or chapped skin, repairing skin damage and encouraging new skin growth. Amber is calmative and analgesic, and is used to restore equilibrium through its energy balancing properties. Last but not least, Cedar helps to increase circulation, thus aiding the body in metabolic waste elimination.
Unscented - This formulation has no additional scents added; however, it should be noted that it is not without a distinct scent of its own. Balsam poplar and beeswax feature prominently, as do the subtle scents added by the other herbs used in our formulation. Great for those who love truly earthy scents, this scent will take you straight to the forests we ethically harvest from!
